The kitchen is turning out to be one hot place to be in with open fire from one end to another. The chefs meant to be making delicacies in the kitchen are busy fighting against each other. For sure things are getting really hot in the kitchen; a battle has ensued between celebrity chefs Paula Deen and Anthony Bourdain. It all started with Anthony slamming Paula by telling TV Guide that she’s the worst, most dangerous person to America for her home- style cooking. “She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations, and she’s proud of the fact that her food is [expletive] bad for you” he further added on. Paula then slammed back telling the New York Post’s, “Anthony Bourdain needs to get a life. You don’t have to like my food….. I wake up every morning happy for where I am in life. It’s not all about the cooking, but the fact that I contribute by using my influence to help people all over the country…. You know, not everybody can afford to pay $58 for prime rib or $650 for a bottle of wine”
This for sure is not the first time that Paula Deen’s cooking has come under fire. Barbara walters an American broadcast journalist attacked her some time back. “This is a cookbook for kids. Obesity is the number one problem for kids today. Everything you have here is enormously flattening. You tell kids to have cheesecake for breakfast. You tell them to have chocolate cake and meatloaf for lunch. Doesn’t it bother you that you are adding to this?” Barbara asked. This was during an appearance on “The View”
This is quite hard to choose though Paula Deen’s recipes are fatty they for sure tasty. I won’t play saint and say that I hate her dishes. I love them, and I’m sure that you also love them. Its okay, you don’t have to admit it. Though they may not be healthy, she shouldn’t be blamed for all the fat children in the world. For goodness sake let her continue making fabulous dishes. It is a well-known fact that if you have a problem you just can’t go on blaming anyone doing something good. In this case we can’t blame Paula Deen for obese children. If you don’t want your children to be obese encourage them to exercise their bodies and not just sit down and gulp everything in the house down their throats. I’m bitter because as I said earlier I love Paula Deen’s recipes and for me I’m not even close to obese. It all melts down to the individual, are they practicing healthy eating habits? If you can’t see the connection between your lifestyle and your health for sure you must be blind. Paula Deen is just an excellent chef sharing her passion with the world and exploiting her talent fully.
If you are against her I really don’t blame you. You are quite an asset in her journey to the top. You know what they say; the higher you go, the more the hatters. You glow girl!!
